SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID

We are committed to partnering with families to ensure a St. Edward education is within reach for all.

 

Tuition for the 2023-2024 school year is $19,350, with a $250 technology fee. Next year’s tuition will be announced in the spring.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, St. Edward is able to offer tuition assistance to families in need. FACTS Management, a third-party online application, determines financial need. The process requires parents to upload federal tax forms and W2s. Click here for detailed instructions.

 

DEADLINE FOR INCOMING FRESHMAN:

  • Parents of current eighth graders who will join the Class of 2028 as freshmen next year, must apply for financial aid by April 18, 2024. Please upload 2022 tax information to be considered.

  • Late applications will be accepted, however, after the deadlines have passed, award amounts may be impacted due to the number of applicants and limited amount of funding.

 

DEADLINE FOR CURRENT STUDENTS & TRANSFER STUDENTS:

  • Current St. Edward families and transfer students must apply between February 1 and April 18, 2024. Please upload 2023 tax information to be considered.

Diocesan Tuition Assistance and Angel Fund Scholarships

The Diocese of Cleveland offers need-based funding to students attending Catholic schools. Click here to learn more. Like St. Edward, the Diocese utilizes FACTS Management to process requests. If you already have a FACTS application on file, simply opt into the Diocesan Tuition Assistance (DTA) process by answering a few additional questions. Tax documentation must be from 2023 in order to be considered for Diocesan assistance.

 

DTA & ANGEL FUND DEADLINES:

 

Round One: March 15, 2024

  • Families are notified of award decision in May.

  • Due to application processing time, we recommend families submit by March 1, 2024.

Round Two: May 15, 2024

  • Families are notified of award decision in July.

  • Due to application processing time, we recommend families submit by May 1, 2024.


 

State Scholarships

Students can only receive one scholarship from the Ohio Department of Education, however, families can apply for financial aid in addition to receiving state funding. Applications for the 2024–25 school year are open as of February 1.

 

EdChoice Scholarship

​St. Edward High School is a provider of both the EdChoice Traditional and EdChoice Expansion Scholarship. These programs allow Ohio students to access state funding for private school tuition. Awards currently vary from $950–$8,408 depending on household income.

Cleveland Scholarship

The Cleveland Scholarship provides educational choices for students who reside within the boundaries of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. The award is currently $8,408 per year. Click here to download a fact sheet about the Cleveland Scholarship.

Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship​

Open to students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) from their district of residence, the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship amount is based on the student’s category of disability. Click here to review award amounts.
