FINANCIAL AID FOR 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR
Financial need is determined through an application that is submitted to FACTS* Management group.

Parents/guardians of Incoming Freshmen, Class of 2027 will be expected to submit their completed 2021 taxable and non-taxable documents including all schedules and W2's starting October 1, 2022 through November 30, 2022.

Current Families and Perspective Transfers will be expected to submit their 2022 taxable and non-taxable documents including all schedules and W2's starting February 1, 2023 through April 18, 2023.
*Late applications will be accepted past this date. However, awards can be impacted or lowered due to the number of families requesting aid. Current families filing extensions must start and submit their FACTS application and submit their 2022 W2's/1099's and their completed 2021 tax returns and schedules.

FACTS Instructional Information Sheet
DIOCESE TUITION ASSISTANCE (DTA)
Diocesan Tuition Assistance(DTA) Grants are monies awarded from the Diocese of Cleveland based on a family's financial need. The Diocese of Cleveland will be utilizing the FACTS application to process requests for need-based assistance for the 2023-2024 school year.
DTA Deadlines:
First Round - March 15, 2023 (Upload all requested 2022 completed Tax Documents/Non Taxable Documents by March 1, 2023)
Second Round - May 15, 2023 (Upload all requested 2022 completed Tax Documents/Non Taxable Documents by May 1, 2023)

All current and incoming families must submit their 2022 Tax documents and all associated schedules of taxable and non-taxable income.

If you already have a FACTS application filed for the 2023-2024 school year, simply login to your FACTS application and upload your 2022 tax returns and opt in to Diocesan Tuition Assistance by answering a few additional questions. FACTS will send notifications by email to families that have not yet completed this step.

Deadline to be considered for the First Round is March 1, 2023.

OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION VOUCHER PROGRAMS
*The Ohio Department of Education has eliminated deadlines. The Finance Office requests all scholarship applications to be turned in by April 28, 2023 to allow enough time for the Ohio Department of Education to mark the application eligible before the end of this school year.
Cleveland Scholarship and Tutoring Voucher Program:
The 2023-2024 Cleveland Scholarship and Tutoring Voucher Program opened February 1, 2023.
The Cleveland Scholarship and Tutoring Voucher Program (CSP) provides educational choices for children in kindergarten through 12th grade to students residing within the boundaries of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District to attend private schools in and around Cleveland. The value of the voucher for grades 9-12 is currently $7,500 per year, which can be applied toward the cost of tuition at St. Edward High School.

THE EDCHOICE SCHOLARSHIP/EDCHOICE EXPANSION PROGRAM
The 2023-2024 EdChoice Scholarship and Expansion Program opened February 1, 2023.
The Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice) Program provides students who attend a designated low performing public school in their resident district an opportunity to attend private schools through state funds. The value of the EdChoice Scholarship for the 2023-2024 is $7,500.
The EdChoice Expansion Program is only open to students who do not qualify for other Educational Choice Scholarships.

If you currently receive the EdChoice Voucher, please complete the Renewal Form.

If you do not qualify for other Educational Choice Scholarships (Cleveland, EdChoice, Traditional, or JPSNS), you will need to complete the Expansion Application.

* The Ohio Department of Education has implemented a new Scholarship Income Verification System. The system is available for families to enter and submit their income information electronically to the Scholarship office for verification of low-income status. Parents are able to enter household member information, income information and upload supporting income documents directly into the online system.
JON PETERSON SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The 2023-2024 Jon Peterson Scholarship will open February 1, 2023.
The Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program provides scholarships to students who are eligible to attend kindergarten through 12th grade and have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) from their district of residence. The amount of each scholarship is based on the disability identified on the student’s IEP as classified into categories set by the state legislature.
