2019 ENGINEERING ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

Engineering Enrichment Camp

St. Edward High School - Lowe Institute for Innovation

June 10-14, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Boys & Girls entering Grades 7-8
$100

St. Edward High School's Engineering Enrichment Camp is a 3-session experience that exposes campers to a variety of STEM-focused topics. Campers will engage in the following sessions and learn about the technologies that drive modern innovation in the fields of robotics and wearable technologies:

Robot Programming - Embedded systems are used in many different consumer products from TVs to security systems. In this session, campers will learn concepts of C++ programming using Arduino-powered "Tankbots" that are used in St. Ed's College-Credit electronics courses.

Fluids - Hydraulic and pneumatic systems drive everything from the brakes on your car to launching systems on aircraft carriers. In this session, campers will use hydraulics to build and control a robotic arm.

Advanced Manufacturing - Advanced manufacturing techniques use computers and automated technologies to control devices to produce parts used in many products available today.  In this session, campers will produce things in the
Advanced Manufacturing Lab at SEHS using laser cutters, 3D printers and CNC routers.
