ST. ED'S MODEL UN KICKS OFF THEIR FALL SEASON AT MENTOR HIGH SCHOOL

Starting their season off on a strong note, the St Ed's Model UN team participated in the two-day Mentor VI MUN Crisis Conference, hosted by Mentor High School. Joining local high schools, Edsmen delegates worked as Cabinet Members for countries including China, France, United Kingdom, the United States and Taiwan, facing up to a series of international crises and developing ever-changing strategies in a sophisticated and high-tech environment.

Joshua Butler '23, Rob Torres '23 and Lukas Kucera '24 won "Best Delegate Awards" for their outstanding performances while Nick Winchester '23, in his very first MUN Conference, received an "Honorable Mention Award."

"At Crisis Conferences like the Mentor VI MUN 22 Conference, delegates are assigned Cabinet positions in specific countries and then strategically conduct resolutions in response to a series of developing and interactive 'real-world' crises scenarios. It takes sophistication, awareness and the ability to react and find immediate solutions and our Edsmen rose to the challenge, and were on the ball at the Mentor Conference," says Model UN moderator Mr. Michael Perrins.
